AshantiGold sign youngster Opoku Antwi

Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold have signed former CS Sfaxien midfielder Opoku Antwi on a six-moth loan deal.

The ex Bofoakwa Tano and Swedru All Blacks player been playing his football in Tunisia since leaving Ghana two seasons ago.

Opoku told GHANAsoccernet.com: "My stay in Tunisia was very fruitful until the uprising started so I had to come home and see what happens next.

"I have played out my contract with Sfaxien so I am a free agent.

"I was contacted by AshGold and we agreed on a six-month loan deal.

He added that: "Everything is done so I will be playing in the league matches probably in the second round

"As to extending my contract with them, it will depend hugely on my stay there so let’s wait until the loan deal ends."

AshGold are struggling in the Ghana top flight as they lie 12th on the league table.
