AshantiGold coach Bashiru Hayford says his side cannot afford to drop points at home with Aduana Stars posing a threat to their title credentials.

The Miners will look to put space between them and second placed Aduana Stars this weekend.

Hayford’s side have seen their healthy seven points lead at the summit of the league table cut to just one with four games left.

Aduana have won their last three games against Inter Allies, BA United and Hasaacas to close the gap and are looking at repeating the dose that saw them snatch the league title from the claws of AshGold in 2010.

But Hayford says he is focused on his next game against Medeama which is a must win and not bothered about the form of Aduana Stars.

“We have a game against Medeama and we know that they are a very good side which will bring the best out of us,” Hayford said

"If we concentrate on our game and win them we will be champions which is the focus.

"The Medeama game is a must win and we are looking at just doing that.''
