Bechem United and AshGold battled to a 2-2 drawn game at the Gyeabbour Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Bechem took the lead under 2 minutes from the spot through Francis Dadzie but the AshGold profited from a Patrick Opoku own-goal midway through the second-half.

Tofiq Ayiri was on his way to scoring the first goal for Bechem when he was hacked down by an AshGold defender and the resultant penalty was dully converted.

The nimble-footed Augustine Okrah shot Bechem ahead just after the break with a sensational finish but 2013 Ghana U20 captain Lawrence Lartey picked a vital away point for the Miners.

This is a game Bechem could have recorded a big win over the guest from Obuasi but they failed to convert their chances in front of goal.

Ghana CHAN midfielder Emmanuel Asante went into the referee's pocket for a bad foul on AshGold's Emmanuel Osei and could have been sent off.

AshGold remain third on the log while Bechem stay 7th with 18 points.
