Struggling Premier League side AshantiGold have snapped up Nania FC captain Lawrence Lartey.

Reports say the defender has signed a three-year deal with the three-time champions.

Lartey captained Nania to win a historic FA Cup last season and Super Cup double.

He was linked with a move to giants Asante Kotoko.

Meanwhile, striker Alex Asamoah has re-joined the club.

The Miners have been the busiest club in the transfer market to reverse the current run of poor results.

AshantiGold lost 3-2 to Hearts of Oak on the return of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
