AshantiGold supporters have reversed their earlier resolution to have coach Yaw Acheampong step aside for the game against Medeama.

The supporters are unhappy with recent results and suggested to management following the weekend’s loss to Berekum Arsenals that the ex Ghana international be made to sit out the midweek Premier League fixture.

However following a manegment meeting on Monday, the supporters have decided to put off their suggestions until the league goes on a mini-break to make way for the general elections.

“We made our position clear at the management meeting but we took a collective decision to allow the coach to stay on,” AshGold supporter’s chief Martin Agyepong told Time FM.

“The coach apologized for the recent poor results and therefore we urge the supporters to be patient.

“We have a crucial game against Medeama on Wednesday and I will like to assure the coach and management of the backing of the supporters.

“We will however continue to monitor the situation until the league breaks so for now, coach Yaw Acheampong stays on.”

AshGold have lost back-to-back games cranking the pressure on Yaw Acheampong ahead of the midweek fixture at home to Medeama.

The Miners are currently 7th in the Ghana top flight after eight rounds of games.
