AshantiGold are reportedly ready to listen to offers for striker Yakubu Mohammed.

The 23-year-old has been on the radar of leading Ghana Premier League sides with his surged form.

Mohammed signed a two-year contract extension at the beginning of the season which will keep him at the Obuasi-based club until 2014.

The Miners however according to reports in the local media will let the powerful striker go if their $500,000 asking price is met.

Asante Kotoko are reportedly interested but are unlikely to meet AshGold’s demands.

This has led to talks of a possible co-ownership or loan deal to see to the ex Heart of Lions hitman join the champions.

Mohammed emerged the second highest scorer in last season’s Premier League with 16 goals.

He was on the verge of signing for Hearts of Oak until a last minute hitch saw the deal drop dead.
