The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association have reversed an earlier decision by the Disciplinary Committee which declared AshantiGold losers of a Premier League game.

A Disciplinary Committee ruling in May, 2011 credited Mighty Jets 3 points and 3 goals following a protest against AshantiGold in their match-day-25 fixture on April 24, 2011 at the Akosombo Park.

The ruling by the DC also deducted AshantiGold 3 points and 3 goals over the use of unconfirmed strips.

However, an appeal by AshantiGold, has been upheld with the Committee explaining that their failure to present their away strip at the pre-match technical meeting does not constitute an offence punishable under Article 34 (1) (k) of the Regulations.

"The appeal succeeds and the decision of the Disciplinary Committee is hereby set aside," the ruling by the Appeals Committee read.

"The results of the said match should stand."

AshantiGold now place second on the 2010/2011 Glo Premier League table and have thus qualified to represent Ghana in the Caf Confederations Cup and have also qualified to play in the GHALCA Top Four tournament.
