Aston Villa manager Garde may resign

Aston Villa manager, Rémi Garde has hinted he may resign at the end of the season following a transfer window which was unsuccessful for the club. Birmingham based Villa are currently bottom of the table. The Frenchman sought to buy Wahbi Khazri who instead signed for Sunderland and Seydou Doumbia, who joined Newcastle on loan from Roma. Garde only joined the club in November, but trailing at the bottom of the table on 13 points and only 2 wins this season means the club need to almost double their points to escape relegation as the table stands. Garde hinted at leaving in a statement late last night:

“Some people have to be brave enough to say what have we done wrong in the past and what we should be doing now to stop that and to be better, maybe not in the next months but the next season or in two or three years.”
