Atalanta coach content with work ethic in Sampdoria draw

Atalanta coach Edy Reja has said that his team worked hard in their 0-0 draw with Sampdoria on Sunday afternoon.

It was a match in which La Dea created a limited amount of chances and they could have lost the match if Ricky Alvarez had hit the target for the Blucerchiati. Despite this, the Orobici tactician was glad with how his team grinded out the draw and hopes that for a win over Fiorentina next week.

“Today could be a point that gives us less worries,”Reja said in the post-match press conference.

“My team has had great desire and in every department they have grinded their teeth trying to bring home a result. We took risks with a few seconds left and we could have been punished beyond measure.

“We did not succeed in making concrete those few chances that we created. We hope in the next game that we find some goals [and] get the victory, [which] will give us more security.”

Atalanta are equal 12th with Torino on the Serie A table with 28 points but they have not won a league game in 2016.
