Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone on Leicester clash: Small details vital

Published on: 18 April 2017

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone expects a tense contest at Leicester City.

Atletico go to England defending a 1-0 first-leg lead for their Champions League quarterfinal.

"Given the characteristics of both teams, we are very similar and it will not be far from what was seen in Spain, with a close result and where details will be decisive," Simeone said.

"In principle, Leicester have been playing for six or seven games with an intensity that is close to last season," he continued.

"I always ask UEFA officials why the team playing the second match away has more of an opportunity, because in the event of a tie they have 30 minutes to score a goal that is worth twice as much and that is a lot in a tie as close as this.

"Today we play away whereas other times we have played at home, but nobody gives me an answer."
