Arsenal and Inter Milan have been attempting to close in on midfielder Thomas Partey, but Atlético Madrid won’t make it easy on them.
According to AS, Atlético are ready to offer Thomas Partey a new deal which would see his release clause increase from €50m to a figure of over €90m.
Partey, who is currently under contract until 2023, was reportedly close to leaving for Inter just a few years ago until eventually deciding against paying the €50m fee.
Fortunately for Atlético, Partey has repeatedly expressed his desire to stay at the club but has hinted that contract talks aren’t exactly going as smoothly as they could.
In addition to Arsenal and Inter, Roma have recently entered the race for the Ghana international, who has featured 174 times for Atlético since coming through the youth ranks.
