Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have joined Bayern Munich and Sevilla in monitoring budding defender Tariq Lamptey.

The 20-year-old has been in devastating form since joining Brighton and Hove Albion in the winter transfer window.

Lamptey scored his first Premier League goal last weekend in Brighton's defeat to Tottenham Hotspurs, prompting the top clubs in Europe to draw their attention to him.

Atletico are reported to have sent scouts to monitor the marauding right-back who is seen as a potential replacement for England defender Kieran Trippier.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich want the defender as an alternative to Joshua Kimmich, who is now being molded into a midfielder by manager Hansi Flick.

Sevilla are closely monitoring the progress of the young defender and could make a summer a move at the end of the season.

The English-born Ghanaian moved to Brighton from Chelsea and this season has been a regular, playing all seven games for the Seagulls.
