Atletico Madrid has shown their interest in signing Rakitic, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Atletico believe the 32-year-old Croatian midfielder still can compete in the highest level of football. Rakitic also has indicated he wants to leave Barcelona. The Rojiblanca has been trying to sign him for some time although the club denied the effort.
Rakitic knows his time at Barca has ended and Barca also need to get rid of him to clean up the space for stars like Lautaro and Neymar. Atleti is a better option for him than Sevilla which cannot afford Rakitic's transfer.
MD analyzes that Rakitic can adapt to Simeone's football very well, and also says Rakitic's agent, Arturo Canales, has a very good relationship with Atletico. Some information says he has contacted Atleti back in February.
Atleti have to rival with Juve & Milan to sign Rakitic. PSG are also keen on the Croatian.
