ATSU GETS GHANA CALL UP

The provisional 26 man Ghana squad for the 2017 African Cup of Nations tournament has been revealed and Newcastle United’s Christian Atsu is on the list.

The tournament this year takes place in Gabon and begins on January 14th and depending on how Ghana do in the competition this year, those players who made the final squad selection for the competition could be missing for up to six weeks in total of the domestic campaign.

Ghana now head to the United Arab Emirates for a pre tournament training camp and when the full squad is known by January 4, they then head into Group D games against Mali, Egypt and Uganda.
