Portuguese giants FC Porto have recalled promising Ghana star Christian Atsu for their pre-season tour, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.

The 20-year-old was a big hit on loan at Portuguese top-flight side Rio Ave where he was named the club's Player of the Year.

Atsu scored six goals in 26 appearances last term.

He made his Ghana debut as a second half substitute last Friday in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier and scored in the 7-0 drubbing of Lesotho.

Atsu won the FIFA Blue Stars Youth Cup Best Player Award in August 2011 and went ahead to be named FC Porto's Best Young Player Award the same year.
