Ghana will not be represented at next year's Africa Women Cup of Nations after the Black Queens were eliminated in the qualifiers by serial winners Nigeria.

Black Queens secured a 1-0 victory courtesy of Princilla Adubea's second half goal in Accra on Sunday but it made absolutely no difference because Nigeria won the first leg of the tie 2-0 in Lagos.

Nigeria thus progress to the next round of qualifiers 2-1 on aggregate.

Ghana were unlucky not to score a second deep into stoppage time as the Black Queens hit the crossbar and rebound was blocked by the Nigerians on the line.

Both teams ended the game with 10 players as a player from each side was sent off.
