Dutch born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu was surprised to find out he was leading the top scorers chat in the Eredivisie.

The AZ Alkmaar attacker netted his 13th goal of the season to help his side thump RKC Waalkijk and keep the chase on Ajax at the top of the table.

The striker was delighted to score but was surprised to find out he was ahead of teammate Oussama Iddrissi.

"Oh, I thought Idrissi was the same as me. But then I'm very happy," he said after the 4-0 thrashing of Waalkijk.

The 18-year old has ambitions of finishing the campaign as the goal king.

"Great, but I want to be a top scorer at the end," he said.

"I saw that Calvin Stengs got the ball and Jonas Svensson started to walk. Then I started to walk with a small lead on my opponent.

"First I wanted to grab it with the right, but in the end the ball got better in front of my left I was happy with the goal," the striker added.
