Berekum Chelsea have ordered assistant coach Orlando Wellington to proceed on a one-month leave.

The defending league champions said in a statement on the club's website on Monday evening.

He joined the club from Heart of Lions early last season.

"It's unfortunate this news has come at this moment but I think that is what best suites the two parties," Chief Executive Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah told www.berekumchelsea.com

''After the end of the leave, we will be happy to work again."

Wellington led the club to win last season's league title and was the 2011 Ghana Under-20 coach.
