Berekum Chelsea coach Steven Polack expects stronger opposition this term in their bid to retain their league title.

The new Premier League season kicks into full gear this Sunday with as many as five teams highly rated to reign supreme at the campaign’s end next year.

And with this in mind, Polack knows way too well the Blues will not have such a jolly ride as they did last season but says he can only concentrate on putting his side in pole position for yet another league triumph.

“I don’t really care about what the other clubs do but I am fully aware that team’s have strengthened their sides and have had very a good pre-season,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Of course we have to be at the same level with them or even better and winning the league for the second successive season is always going to be harder but I have to prepare my players to play every game like a cup final.

“We have a good team and I feel if we able to get the boys to give their 100%, no team can stand us.”

Chelsea were runaway winners last term but following the active offseason activities of rival clubs, it wouldn’t be farfetched to conclude that victory in this season’s league would come very costly.

The Blues open their Premier League account away from home against Mighty Jets.
