B. Chelsea coach explains star-names absence in league opener

Inadequate paperwork and injury prevented Charles Taylor and Baba Amando from making their Premier League debut on Sunday for Berekum Chelsea.

The two ex-Ghana internationals were excluded from the 18-man squad of the Champions as they battled hard to draw one all in their opening league match with Mighty Jets.

The absence of the star-signings in Sunday’s game raised a lot of eyebrows but these fears were later allayed by Chelsea’s coach Steven Pollack.

“Charles Taylor’s paper work has not gone through so we couldn’t play him and Baba Amando has had an injury and has not trained since I arrived,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“So again for the educated people who know about football you don’t just play somebody because of what they have done in the past, for me they have to perform, they have to train.”
