New Berekum Chelsea striker Baba 'Amando' Adamu says he is not worried over his bad-boy reputation and insists he will make an impact.

The 31-year-old had a controversial past, where he reportedly clashed with team officials.

He accused some officials of the Ghana FA of taking bribes from players in exchange for places in Ghana squad for the 2006 World Cup finals-an allegation which curtailed his international career prematurely.

But the ex-Russia based striker is not worried over his 'bad boy' image.

"People say such things without knowing the full facts and I don't want to go into matters because it’s all in the past," Adamu told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Some people like to speculate without even getting to know me.

"What is important is that I'm a nice person and if you get to know me, you’ll appreciate me better than what you have been made to believe."

He has completed his move to Berekum Chelsea and was unveiled on Wednesday.

Adamu has previously played for defunct All Blacks, Asante Kotoko and King Faisal.
