Chief Executive Officer of Dreams FC Kurt Okraku has expressed his joy over Baba Rahman's loan switch to German side Schalke 04.

The 23-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club before he sustained a serious knee injury during the Africa Cup of Nations where he was representing the Black Stars.

But he will now aim to get regular playing time at Schalke, who currently sit in third place in the Bundesliga standings, after joining them until the end of the current campaign.

And Okraku, who is the manager of the left-back, has reiterated his delight to see the player back to full fitness.

"In his first season at Chelsea he played 22 games which was very impressive, indeed there were some games that he was not at his very best but we also saw some games that perhaps he was the MVP," he told Joy FM

"Nevertheless, he's had one whole year of the pitch, this is very unlike of Baba even though he is a young boy so for him to be out for a year has not been easy for him.

"Hopefully he will be back on the pitch where he will be playing week in week out so everybody in the family is happy and we are looking forward to him playing actively."

The 24-capped Ghana international joined Chelsea from German club Augsburg in the summer of 2015 and went on to make 23 appearances in all competitions, with the majority of those coming under interim manager Guus Hiddink.
