Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, says his side's back-to-back defeats are not the best, but insists they are not out of the title race.
Having lost to Accta Lions, the Porcupine Warriors were hoping to return to winning ways but lost 2-0 to Nations FC in the Matchday 28 games at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday.
Nafiu Sulemana opened the scoring account with a beauty in the 15th minute before Emmanuel Annor doubled the lead at the stroke of half-time to wrap up the win.
Speaking in a post-match interview with Globe TV, Narteh Ogum expressed his frustrations after going four games without a win.
"Back-to-back defeats ain't the best, but we as a technical team have to motivate the players irrespective of what's coming from the outside. We're with them and we know what we can do," he said.
"They are the same people who went so many matches unbeaten, so it tells you that we can do it. We just have to sit down and look at what we can do to reverse the situation."
Despite their recent slump, Ogum dismissed any suggestions that Kotoko are out of the title race.
"The league is not over, so we keep working, keep playing the games."
Asante Kotoko now sit 4th on the league log with 47 points and will host Aduana FC in the Matchday 29 games at the Baba Yara Stadium.
