Here we try to predict the South Africa starting XI that will be deployed by head coach Hugo Broos in Sunday’s match against Ghana.

Ghana and South Africa will be battling to win all the three points at stake during the 2022 World Cup qualifier in Cape Coast on Sunday.

Ghana had the chance of finishing one point clear of South Africa in Group G but the goal conceded by the Black Stars in the closing period of the game ensured that the Black Stars could only secure one point in the match against Ethiopia.

Bafana Bafana took advantage of the Ghana slip up and beat Zimbabwe 1-0 in the last Group G fixture of Thursday and are now three points ahead of the Black Stars in the group.

This means South Africa's victory of 1-0 against Zimbabwe has created certain uncomfortable conditions that could affect Ghana's World Cup qualification hopes.

But with South Africa scoring only one goal against Zimbabwe, Ghana are still in with a big chance to reach the play-offs for the World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Hugo Broos has all his plyers available but for Sifiso Hlanti was has been ruled out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Ghana remains second in the group and three points adrift of leaders South Africa but the Black Sars can make it to the play-offs with a victory - even 1-0 will do.

A 1-0 win in the favor of Ghana at Cape Coast means the Black Stars and Bafana Bfana have the same points and the exact goal differential of four. However, Ghana will advance due to having scored more goals.

If two teams from similar groups are tied with the same amount of points, the qualification for the World Cup is first decided by the total goal difference and the goals that are scored.

The Black Stars on Sunday, will try to stay clear of missing out at the two successive World Cups after missing out at the 2018 World Cup.

The match starts at 7pm.
