Two ex-Ghana internationals Tony Baffoe and Akwasi Appiah will address a Caf conference on the performance of African teams at the World Cup next week.

Baffoe, who worked as a Fifa coordinator during the World Cup in South Africa, will lead the presentations which will also involve all the national team coaches in Africa.

Appiah, who was the Black Stars assistant coach at the World Cup, will explain why Ghana was successful with its tactics at the global tournament.

GFA's technical Oti Akenteng will also travel to Egypt for the important CAF meeting next week.

The Ghana caretaker coach will travel to Kumasi for Sunday's Nations Cup qualifier against Sudan and is expected back in Accra by Monday.

Appiah and Akenteng are expected to be in Cairo next week Wednesday when the world soccer governing body, Fifa in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football, begin analysing the2010 Fifa World Cup.

The symposium in Egypt takes place from October 13-15 in Cairo .

The objective of the symposium is to provide a platform for the technical and tactical analysis of the tournament, staged on the African continent for the very first time, in relation to the development of football on the continent.

The fifty-three National Associations affiliated to CAF will be represented by their head coach and technical director.

CAF President Issa Hayatou will open the workshop on October 13, in the Egyptian capital.

South Africa plus five others, Ghana , Cameroon , Nigeria , Algeria and Ivory Coast were Africa’s torchbearers at the tournament, with Ghana being the only team to advance past the group stage before bowing out on penalties to Uruguay at the quarter-finals.

The Fifa/Caf World Cup Symposium is organised every four years, after the Fifa World Cup, to analyse the biggest football spectacle.
