BARCELONA - Messi tells Blaugrana chiefs: We must keep Vidal

Published on: 23 October 2018

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal retains the support of Leo Messi. It's been raised inside the Barca board room to consider offers for the Chile international in January after a disappointing first few months of the season. Vidal has been criticised by GM Pep Segura and Guillermo Amor over his social media antics, while he has also lost his place in coach Ernesto Valverde's starting XI.

However, Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, revealed: "Messi wants Arturo Vidal to continue because he believes he can be a key player in the Champions League."
