Barcelona plan swoop for Juventus and Roma stars

La Liga champions Barcelona have completed their Fifa-imposed transfer ban and have set their sights on scouting the most valuable assets in Italy to build towards future success.

As Juventus and Roma went head-to-head on Sunday night, at least three players on show were being considered as candidates for a potential move to Camp Nou.

According to AS, Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala and Alessandro Florenzi were among those being closely watched by the Blaugrana sporting director, Roberto Fernandez, who attended the match in Turin.

While Pogba has been a long-term target of coach Luis Enrique, Dybala’s season tally of 12 goals and seven assists may tempt the Catalan giants to make an ambitious summer swoop for the Bianconeri duo.

Meanwhile Florenzi first caught the attention of the Spaniards by scoring a 50-yard goal against them in last September’s Group E Champions League fixture, which went on to be nominated for the FIFA Puskas Award.

Barcelona’s newfound interest in the Italian league is believed to be driven by the club’s sporting director, Ariedo Braida, a former long-term director with AC Milan.

The trio are among a host of names that have been mentioned in recent months as potential targets for the newly crowned World Club Champions, with Miralem Pjanic, Antonio Candreva and Napoli’s Allan among the high-profile list of Serie A talent.
