Barcelona presidential elections will take place on January 24

Barcelona, ​​Tarragona, Lleida, Girona, Andorra, Tortosa, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca are the cities where voting for the next president of FC Barcelona will take place.

The 24th of January is the official date that has been agreed with the Catalan Government for the holding of club elections to vote for the next president of FC Barcelona.

There are 10 different voting stations, which will be located in; Barcelona (Camp Nou), Tarragona, Lleida, Girona, Andorra, Tortosa, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca. The vote will not be held over two days (24-25) to avoid the danger of crowds for health reasons.

According to the club, the week of 14 December is marked as the beginning of the election calendar, of which more details will be released at a later stage. A club statment, released on Monday November 30 read: "On Monday December 14, a meeting of the Managing Commission is planned to approve the calling of elections; Wednesday 16, the official publication of the calling of elections. As such, between 23 December and 11 January there would be a period for the collection of supporting signatures; between 15 and 22 January, the election campaign."

Laporta to run for role again

The following candidates will run to be the next president of Barça: Joan Laporta (ex-president between 2003 and 2010), as well as Emili Rousaud, Toni Freixa, Víctor Font and Xavier Vilajoana, who have all already officially presented their candidacy. Jordi Farré has not yet officially presented himself as a candidate. Juan Rosell, like Jordi Roche, ruled himself out at the last minute; and Agustí Benedito will aim to join Laporta's candidacy.
