Barcelona star Lionel Messi insists he doesn't compare himself with Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi says he believes Ronaldo to be a great player.
“The press look for comparisons and all these types of things. The only thing I want is to help my team grow every year. I don't compare myself with Cristiano or with anyone. I just try to think about myself, my team-mates and winning games," he said in an interview with MBC.
On Real Madrid, Messi indicated that “they have great players. They always have impressive star players and one of the best teams in the world. They are always a difficult rival and, against them, they always make it difficult to win La Liga. There's a lot of competition and we try to do better [than them]."
