Bayern Munich defender undergoes Juventus medical

Ahead of completing his move to Juventus, Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia has arrived in Turin to complete his medical with the reigning Scudetto holders.

Benatia spent just two seasons with the Bavarian giants, having joined the club from Roma in 2014 for around €28 million.

After much speculation linking the Moroccan with a return to Serie A, Juventus announced on their official website that the player would undergo his medical examinations at their J|Medical facility on Thursday morning.

The former Giallorossi defender racked up a total of 3,132 minutes on the pitch in his two years with Bayern, split across 46 appearances.

Before his Roma days, Benatia also spent time at fellow Serie A side Udinese, where he played 97 games during his three-year stay.
