Bayern Munich interested in Napoli talisman

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentine hitman has been the talk of Serie A this season, registering 25 goals in 27 appearances for the Partenopei which appears to have caught the eye of incoming Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the German champions are ready to make an offer in the summer, though it is unclear if they will be willing to meet Napoli’s buyout clause or attempt to negotiate a lower price.

As it stands at the moment, Bayern would need to fork over a whopping €95m for the player.

The Bavarian club are not short of funds at the moment, however, and a purchase of the 28-year-old would likely be a reinvestment of funds earned from the potential sale of Robert Lewandowski, a player attracting interest from various clubs across Europe.
