Yusif Abubakari has quit Bechem Chelsea as head coach after a short meeting with the club's directors in Kumasi.

The ex-Hearts of Oak boss claims he is set to hold talks with Malian side Stade Malien.

Abubakar took temporary charge of Chelsea in the absence of expatriate coach Steve Polack who is indisposed.

The former Hearts of Oak coach has had an impressive start to the season managing 3 wins, 2 draws and one defeat.

In an interview with Sunyani-based Dinpa Radio, the coach sounded disappointed in officials of the club.

"They told me at the meeting to be an assistant to a foreign coach I do not even know.” the soft-spoken coach said.

“I just noticed a white man watching our games previously with the CEO but have not spoken to him so I don't know how the transition would be.”

Abubakar expects to fly out to Mali this week to discuss his coaching job with Stade Malien.

Reports in Kumasi say King Faisal are said to be interested in the coach to replace dismissed Serb Monsulo Medic.
