Bechem United secure Asantehene's blessing for Premier League campaign

The Bechem United team were presented to the Asantehene on Sunday to seek his blessings ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The team of players, officials and traditional leaders paid the courtesy call on Otumfour Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on Sunday.

The visit was to first officially announce Bechem United’s participation in the upcoming Premier League season, present its players and officials while seeking the blessings of the great king ahead of the Premier League season.

The visit was to also pay homage to the Asantehene who is the custodian of all Ahafo lands.

Bechem United President Kingsley Owusu Achau now says the team is determined to take the Premier League by storm after receiving words of encouragements from the Asantehene.

“We have been very much encouraged by the great king ahead of the new season,” he told Metro FM.

“With his words of encouragements my belief that we will do very well in the coming season has been strengthened.”

Bechem are making a return to the Ghanaian top flight just within a year after suffering relegation.

 

They will kick off their Premier League campaign at home against Amidaus Professionals on September 15.
