New Bechem United coach Dan Owusu believes his side have found the winning dose to avoid relegation after their first win of the campaign on Sunday.

Richard Addai's 68th minute goal handed United a narrow 1-0 win over Medeama SC to give the ex-Ghana international a winning start to his reign.

The game also marked a return to the Bechem Park for the first time this season.

Owusu, a former three-time Premier League goal king, machine remains adamant about their chances to avoid the drop

''It's a very important victory for us because we needed it badly,'' Owusu said.

''I made them understand that we needed to score goals because that was the most important thing.

''During my hay days I was the source of goals and so I have to imbibe in them the spirit of goal scoring.

''We hope to continue from here and surely this will be the beginning of getting on the score sheet.''

Bechem United were promoted this season and lie at the bottom of the 16-team table.
