Newly-promoted Bechem United have opted to play their home matches in the 2011/12 Premier League season at the Baba Yara Stadium, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

A Premier League Board delegation assessed the state of the Bechem Park last month and was unsatisfied with the condition of facilities at the centre.

Bechem United officials told the delegation the Baba Yara Stadium is their first option should the Bechem Park fall short of required standards.

Chief Executive Kingsley Osei Bonsu confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com that the club opted for the Baba Yara Stadium.

"PLB officials inspected the state of the Bechem Park but we have not heard from them since. We told them that in a case where our home grounds don't meet the standard, the Kumasi Stadium is our first option."

With King Faisal relegated, the Brong Ahafo-based side will ensure there is Premier League football for Kumasi fans week in week out.

Bechem United's season opener is against New Edubiase at home.
