Ghana international midfielder Bennard Kumordzi admits he is disappointed with his latest injury but is hoping to return to action soon.

The 29-year-old is expected to spend sometime on the sidelines following his horrific tibia fracture during Genk's 2-1 win over  Mouscron-Peruwelz.

"It's sad to suffer another injury and face some time off the pitch but I'm hoping to return," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Kumordzi has played six games for Genk since the start of the Belgian Pro League and is highly fancied by manager Alex McLeish.
