Karim Benzema's presence in the traveling party for Tuesday's Champions League game is the good news that Real Madrid needed the day after losing to Alaves.

After returning to full training following a three-game injury-induced absence, Zinedine Zidane was able to include his star striker in the squad which will fly to Kiev on Monday.

The French striker's return could be key for Los Blancos ahead of a crucial game where they could seal their place in the next round.

The other notable inclusion in the squad is Sergio Arribas, who made his debut in the league opener at Anoeta against Real Sociedad and returns this week for his first Champions League trip.

Victor Chust keeps his place in the 21-man squad as Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola remain absent.

Here is the full squad:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin, Diego Altube

Defenders: Eder Militao, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Ferland Mendy, Victor Chust

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Martin Odegaard, Isco, Sergio Arribas

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Jr, Mariano Diaz, Rodrygo Goes
