Berekum Chelsea appoint Moses Cofie as new head coach

Berekum Chelsea have appointed Ghanaian international trainer Moses Cofie as head coach of the club, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

Cofie signed a year deal with Chelsea to be their head coach until the end of the 2021/2022 season with an option to extend.

The former Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics player won laurels like FA Cup and league in Burkina Faso during his days at Rahimo FC.

Cofie has also gained coaching experience in Sudan.

Chelsea have started the Ghana Premier League on the bad note having lost two and drew just once after three matches sitting at the 15th position on the standings.

Cofie will be assisted by Mr. Solomon Odwo and Hannah Abdul Abu.

He was appointed head coach of Togolese side AS Togo Port in February 2021 but lasted for only three months in charge.

Chelsea host high-flying King Faisal Babes on Friday in a matchday four encounter at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
