Berekum Chelsea coach rules out Clottey's exit

Berekum Chelsea coach Hans van der Pluijm has ruled out the sale of star striker Emmanuel Clottey to giants TP Mazembe.

TP Mazembe, four-time African champions, earmarked the 24-year-old hit-man after he stunned them by scoring a brace to help Berekum Chelsea come from behind to draw 2-2 in Lubumbashi last week.

Clottey has netted 11 times in the competition and he is just two goals away from equalling Stephen Worgu 13-goal tally five years ago.

The Dutchman believes Chelsea's management will not sell Clottey to Mazembe.

"I don't think the club's director Emmanuel Kyeremeh will allow Clottey to leave when we are to play Champions League with other teams," Pluijm told MTNFooball.com

The 63-year-old also lauded the qualities of the Black Stars striker.

"He is a prolific striker. You can see the goals he scores. Sometimes you think that he is out of the game but he does the most important thing," he added.

Saudi side Al Ettihad are also interested in signing the Ghana international.
