Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu has been charged with misconduct by the Ghana Football Association for his criticism of referee Mawuli Klu. 

The former Hearts of Oak coach claimed referees' bias against his club despite his side's 2-1 win over Medeama at the Golden City Park.

The Football Association has charged the temperamental coach for his post match comment.

"Berekum Chelsea's Samuel Boadu has been charged with a breach of Article 34 (6) (d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019 for comments made about match officials in a post-match interview following Chelsea's league game against Medeama SC," a Ghana FA charged  on Wednesday read.

"It is alleged that his commentary on the match officials constitutes misconduct that brings the name of the game into disrepute. He has until Thursday 23 January, 2025 to respond to the charges."

Chelsea managed a 2-1 win over their opponent to jump into mid-table.
