Berekum Chelsea tactician Samuel Boadu has reflected on his outfit narrow defeat to Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians ended Berekum Chelsea’s ten-game unbeaten home run on Sunday, inflicting a 1-0 victory over the Bibires at the Golden City Park in the Round 31 fixture.

The decisive moment came in the 56th minute when Mawuli Wayo found the back of the net, sealing a vital win for the Phobians in a cagey and competitive contest.

Speaking after the game, Boadu, a former coach of Hearts of Oak said, “The result is not the true reflection of the match. It quite unfortunate. The goal we conceded is unpardonable. It’s football, there is nothing that we can do. We did our best to comeback but it didn’t happen. We’ve realized our mistakes and will go back and work on them”

The result marks Hearts' third consecutive win over their former coach Samuel Boadu, who now heads the Berekum Chelsea bench.

It also extends the Phobians’ unbeaten run against Chelsea to ten matches, with the Blues’ last victory coming back in 2019.

The defeat dents Chelsea’s push for a strong finish to the season, while Hearts solidify their place in the top half of the table.
