Berekum Chelsea coach Han Van Der Plyuim says the ban on stadium attendance in Egypt will be an added advantage to his team against Al Ahly.

The 2010 Ghana Premier League champions are billed to play the Egyptian giants in the final round of matches in the first half of the group stage at the Cairo International Stadium on August 4.

Chelsea who have been impressive so far in their maiden continental campaign hope to clinch another vital result on the road to retain their unbeaten record at the group phase.

And their Dutch trainer is hoping the ban is not lifted by the time his team arrives in Cairo for the match to avoid encountering the intimidating atmosphere usually characterized when playing the Reds.

“That is of course an advantage for us but I hear that maybe it is possible they have the support again,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Chelsea currently lie second in Group B with four points, two less than current leader Al Ahly who have won both their opening games.
