Berekum Chelsea coach Solomon Odwo applauded his players for the one point earned at champions AshantiGold at the Len Clay stadium on Saturday.

The Blues frustrated the Miners and earned a 0-0 draw which was their fifth draw against the Elephants in eight meetings at the Len Clay stadium.

Odwo said: "I think it's not bad at all. It was a tough game. It was a hand-to-hand game as you observed. Ashanti Gold SC needed this win seriously after their loss in Algeria. You see my boys were serious and determine.

“I said this earlier that the worst is was going to be a draw and I think the boys really worked it out.

"You know when you are playing an away game it's quite different and even judging the performance of your players is very difficult because is not easy picking a point or points from somebody's home. I can say that my boys have done very well.

"As you can see, we have a lot of young players which most of them have not tested premier before alongside Saddick Adams who is matured among them so you could see we still have a lot of work to do with these boys.

"So far so good, I think they listen to the instructions by me and is helping us."
