Berekum Chelsea defender Richard Kissi Boateng says he is unaware of his supposed move to TP Mazembe.

The exciting left back has been linked with a $500,000 move to the Congolese giants.

Officals of the Berekum-based side said on Tuesday that an agreement has been reached with the four-time champions with the player expected to fly to Congo to complete formalities next week.

But the 23-year-old says he is in the dark over his supposed move to the ambitious club.

“"I have heard [of the impending move to Mazembe], that this is what is going on. But I don't know whether it is true or not," Boateng told Accra-based Citi FM

“"The big men have not told me anything about it. The chairman is in Accra and he will return to Berekum on Friday and that's when I'm going to find out if it is true or not.”

The former Liberty Professionals defender however says he will welcome a move abroad.

"In life you need to step a step forward. So for me travelling outside the country will not be something new for me,”

I've already tasted it and I know how it is, so I will say it will be for my work done all these years.”

Boateng’s impressive displays earned him a call-up to the Black Stars.
