Berekum Chelsea forward Latif Salfu backs Sogne Yacouba to return to goal-scoring form soon

Berekum Chelsea striker Latifu Salifu is confident Asante Kotoko forward Sogne Yacouba will soon find his goal scoring boots after his recent goal drought.

The Burkinabe forward has been on a run of seven games without a goal for the Porcupine Warriors.

Yacouba has not scored in the club's CAF Confederations Cup campaign, leaving fans of the club worried over the form of the lethal attacker. Many have blamed the striker's barren run to "Black Magic".

However, Latifu Salifu says the striker will rediscover his scoring form soon and it is normal for forwards to go on a drought.

"Yacouba Sogne will score the goals soon. It's normal for strikers to have droughts. It has nothing to do with about juju,"  Latif Salifu told Sikka Sports.

Yacouba is being given special training as the Kumasi based outfit seek to get the striker in shape ahead of their trip to Zambia to play Nkana FC.

Despite not scoring, the 26 year old has created five assists in six games for the Reds in the CAF Confederations Cup.
