Berekum Chelsea marks league coronation with a win

League champions Berekum Chelsea marked their coronation with a 1-0 win over former champions Aduana Stars at the Golden City Park on Sunday.

Captain Mohammed Basit sneaked in the Aduana defenders and turned home the winner in the 58th minute in a match played for an hour-30 minutes for each half.

The Golden City was packed to capacity with chiefs and well-wishers joining the celebration party.

The top hierarchy of the Premier League Board was present for the ceremony.

Also on parade was the Yokohama Cup won by the youth team at a tournament in Germany last month and the 2011 President Cup.
