Ghana Premier League leaders Berekum Chelsea have completed the transfer of former international Charles Taylor as a free agent.
The 29-year-old had been in negotiations with the Blues after obtaining his floating status from the Ghana Football Association last month.
Club president Emmanuel Kyeremeh debunked reports that the player has gone past his prime.
"He was in the national team with the likes of Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and John Mensah and these players are all in the business so why can't he be competitive," he told the club's website.
"Taylor made some bad career decisions in the past and we will work on that."
Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak transferred him to Nigerian side Enugu Rangers.
