Berekum Chelsea striker Saddick Adams sidelined for three months

Berekum Chelsea striker Saddick Adams faces three months out after a suffering a leg injury in training on Thursday.

The club's new signing twisted his leg while they were preparing for their Ghana Premier League visit to Tema Youth on Sunday.

Examinations by Chelsea doctors revealed the former Atletico Madrid striker broke his ankle bone and will need up to three months to recover fully.

Adams, who joined the 2011 Ghanaian champions as a free agent in September, has featured in just three games for the Berekum-based side.

"I just have to take my time for the injury to heal fully" the former Ghana U17 striker told MTNFootball.com.

"Though it is very painful but I have to be patient and wait till I return again."

Adams should be fit to play against AshantiGold on 6 January, 2013 in the final match to half the season.
