Berekum Chelsea title charge slowed by Aduana, Kotoko held

Berekum Chelsea were held in check by defending champions Aduana Stars who beat  the league leaders 1-0 at the Agyeman Badu II Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Wednesday.

Joseph Mugri's 22nd minute goal was enough to hand the three points to the home team and throw spokes into the wheels of an impressive Chelsea side.

Nonetheless, Chelsea have a 13 point lead to protect with half a dozen matches left on the calendar.

Hearts of Oak stepped up their game and distanced themselves from relegation with a slender 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs in Accra.

Faisal went ahead in the 9th minute through Swanzy Baffoe to end the first half 1-0.

All Stars came back strongly in the second half and levelled through Tijani Lawal in the 62nd minute.

Frank Sarfo Gyamfi added the second for All Stars in the 82nd before Tijani Lawal sealed the victory with the third.

Heart of Lions drew goalless with Mighty Jets at the Kpando Park.
