Berlin FC temporarily banned from Techiman Park

The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association has ordered a temporary ban on Berlin FC from using the Nana Ameyaw Park (Techiman) as their home venue with immediate effective.

This decision has become necessary due to the unfortunate incident that occurred during Match Day 24 game between Berlin FC and Unity FC played on Saturday, 17th August, 2016.

The decision is in accordance with Article 15(2) of the GFA General Regulations, which states that, “the GFA may order the closure of any league centre where the safety of clubs, Match Officials or Spectators cannot be guaranteed.”

The Division One League Board will determine the venue for Berlin FC upcoming home matches in accordance with Article 15(3) of the GFA General Regulations.

This order is without prejudice to the determination of the case pending before the Disciplinary Committee.

Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee has been charged to hear the case in accordance with the GFA Regulations.
